I had decide last night to settle down with the wife and watch The Godfather: Part II. You know, the 3 hour 20 minute opus? This got me thinking... I need a cigar of equally grand proportions. Then I remembered the monstrosity that has been laying crooked in my humidor for 3 weeks now. So I pulled it out, popped in the movie that can't be refused, and lit it up.

The cigar had an oily sheen to it, and felt good in the hand. It seemed a little bit lumpy in spots. I punched the end and lit it. The burn was excellent, though the draw was a little loose. My guess is that the over-one-inch diameter had something to do with that.

The burn line was great, and it burned surprisingly fast (or so it seemed) at first. The flavor was kind of bland, I thought. Not bad, but bland. Had a hint of nuttiness to it.

The nuttiness continued on, and a slight (very slight) taste of pepper came through. The burn here is still pretty even.

Same here. Taste hasn't really changed much at all. The burn went awry for the first time here, and I noticed this:

This made the next inch or so a little difficult to keep even, but it still stayed the same in terms of taste.

After this, my camera died and I was out of batteries, so no photos of the nubbing exist, much to my dismay. However, The Godfather had already gone off, and I was still puffing away for another 30 minutes or so. I called it a night with about an inch to go.

This cigar was a monster. I mean a massive Cthulu-esque beast. And the feeling of pulling it out and putting it up to your face is one that I think every cigar smoker should experience once. The flavor is nothing special, but the construction is pretty good, and I felt that the $10.00 or so I spent on it was well worth it.
