PRE-LIGHT:
It looks great, just the look itself makes you want to buy this smoke. To the touch it's very hard, I double checked to make sure it wasn't concrete, no, were good.

THE SMOKE:
As I light it, I get excited, it looks good, smells good, and hey, it's a Cohiba. A name you can trust.
As I take my first draw, I'm amazed, and not in a good way. Of course I have that initial ash taste you get, but the draw, well, there isn't one. Its like sticking at the bottom of a capri sun (c'mon, like you never took your kids capri suns in the middle of the night when they were in bed), but I press on, I taste a bit of chocolate and roasted nut. I get a bit of pepper, not to much, just enough.  It's hard to really get all the flavors of this cigar for the horrible draw. As I get closer to the 1/3 mark I start finding a bit of an esspresso taste. I quite like this mixture of tastes in this cigar, if the draw was decent I would be really enjoying this smoke, as for the burn, its quite even. I like that, I hate having to stop and fix a run in my smoke, but again, who cares about the flavor and the burn when you have to fight like this for smoke. As for the body, its defanently a full body cigar. As i get closer to the lst 1/3 it has seem to soften up a bit, the draw is getting a little better, which is the only reason I didn't give this one up early. However, it's still not good. and the chocolate flavor is becoming more promonint. I don't really taste the roasted nuts anymore. I'm now at the 1/3 mark, maybe a little past, and the burn is no longer even but I don't really care. It's the least of the problems this cigar has. I have mixed feelings here. I really like the flavors. The burn was good through most of this smoke, but the draw, I just cant handle it anymore. I guess its time to put this one to rest.

OVERALL:
Hard to call this a good smoke. It had great flavor, and the first 2/3 had a good even burn, but the draw was horrible and thats a big factor in a cigar. I can't enjoy the flavor, no matter how good, if you cant get the smoke in your mouth. I had a few of these and it was all the same.

RATING:
6.5 out of 10
